When it seems appropriate for your patient, having Hospice of Tennessee Valley to assist the patient and family just makes sense. We are experts at comfort care and ‘Embracing the Spirit of Life with Comfort and Dignity’.  Your patients and their families will feel completely supported by the additional assistance of Registered Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, Social Workers, Chaplains, and Volunteers while facing a declining illness.
Hospice Care is Covered by the Medicare and Medicaid Benefit, most major medical insurance plans and Long Term Care Insurance and  pays for all the above professional visits, equipment, medications, light housekeeping, light meal preparation, baths, linen changes, and more.  This assistance allows the patient and family to focus on quality time and allows their current relationship to the patient to remain intact.

  • Hospice of Tennessee Valley believes that it is important to be a great community partner.  We have participated in dozens of community events, health fairs, career days, festivals and even parades!  We believe it is important to meet the wonderful people of the Tennessee Valley  for, after all, we will be serving them in the future.

  • The Dream Makers Program is an example of the ‘above and beyond’ efforts we make on behalf of our patients.  Sometimes, patients have special needs that aren’t covered by the Hospice Benefit but very important for the comfort and wellbeing of the patient.   We try to meet those needs through the Dream Makers Program.  The ability to meet requests, of course, depends on availability and amount of funds required to make the “dream” come true.  We love making dreams come true if at all possible!

  • The Legacy Program is a program where we work with the patients and their families to create a legacy for the family.  This may mean recording a loved one answering questions about their life’s journey, assisting with writing some important letters, videotaping a message or any special request that would assist the patient to leave a ‘legacy’ to the family.
